Join us for our Church Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Mass at 9:30 am and reception after.
The Community of Holy Rosary & St. John the Evangelist is hosting its annual Church Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Mass is at 9:30 am at Holy Rosary-St. John Church, 660 South Ohio Avenue (between Main and Livingston), Columbus, Ohio. Refreshments will be served after Mass in Campion Hall.
St. John the Evangelist was founded in 1898 at the South Ohio Avenue site. Holy Rosary was founded in 1905 and originally located on East Main Street in Columbus. The two churches were combined in 1979.
Holy Rosary-St. John has been an important part of the South Side community for many years, and a wide range of community services are provided by the church and other organizations at the St. John Community Center on South Ohio Avenue, including the St. John Food Pantry, St. John Learning Center (both a part of the parish), Community Kitchen, Inc., and the Order of Malta Center of Care health clinic (separate organizations that work closely with the church). The church also has community gardens on site, and senior and youth programs. Go to hrsjchurch.org/service for more information and links to all the community services available in the St. John Community Center.
Everyone is welcome! Current and former members and school alumni are welcome to bring photos and other mementos to share at the reception after.
