Holy Rosary-St. John Church Celebrates the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with Rev. Reynaldo S. Taylor
The Community of Holy Rosary & St. John the Evangelist is hosting its annual Martin Luther King Day celebration online in 2021. The celebration will be available on the Holy Rosary-St. John website at hrsj.org beginning on Friday, January 15, 2021. The guest preacher is Rev. Reynaldo S. Taylor.
Rev. Reynaldo S. Taylor is an ordained priest in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He began religious life as a brother in the Brothers of the Poor of St. Francis. After spending 25 years as a part of that religious congregation, he decided to be ordained as a priest in 2007. Fr. Taylor has degrees from Chatfield College, Thomas Moore College, and Mt. St. Mary's Seminary. He also has certifications in chaplaincy and African American Catholic Studies.
Fr. Taylor currently serves as pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cincinnati. He has been active with numerous community organizations, including the Ohio Black Catholic Association, the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus, the National Black Catholic Congress, Catholics United for the Poor, Alliance for Children, the Central Community Mental Health Board, and many more.
In addition to the message from Fr. Taylor, there will be a message from Bishop Robert J. Brennan and Fr. Ramon Owera; music from Vernon Hairston, Holy Rosary-St. John’s Music Minister; music from the St. Joseph Catholic Church (Cincinnati) choir; readings from Scripture and from the works of Dr. Martin Luther King; and more.
