Thank you for praying for Holy Rosary/St. John Church and for all of the ministries and nonprofits that have grown out of the church.
Join us on Sundays at 9:30 am for Mass with our Gospel Choir and at 8:15 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays for weekday Masses.
Our Mission:
We, The Community of Holy Rosary and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, are a diverse welcoming family of Christians, who worship in an African American and traditional style. Led by the Holy Spirit, we serve God by proclaiming and living the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in word and action: evangelizing, ministering to those in need, and nourishing the shared faith, hope, and love for which we are created as children of God.

The Community of Holy Rosary and St. John the Evangelist is a combined Roman Catholic Church. St. John the Evangelist was founded at the current site on South Ohio Avenue in Columbus in 1898. Holy Rosary was built on Main Street and began its ministry to the neighborhood in 1905. The two parishes were later combined into one at the St. John site. The parish manages the St. John Center, a community center that houses a variety of ministries and nonprofits that grew out of the church that serve the surrounding near southeast side community.
Because we are a combined parish and honor the traditions of both churches, we ask that you pray a Rosary for our church during this first week of Easter. Please also pray the prayer of St. John the Evangelist: "O Glorious St. John, you were so loved by Jesus that you merited to rest your head upon his breast, and to be left in his place as son to Mary. Obtain for us an ardent love for Jesus and Mary. Let me be united with them now on earth and forever after in heaven."
Please pray for the church, its leadership, its staff, its members, and all those whom it serves during the week of April 5th. Pray that we will work cohesively according to God's will to serve God and to serve our neighbors.
